IT WAS THE PEDAL!! But I Still need some tuning.
Wow....
after installing my new 5th gen clutch and pressure plate mated with a fidanza flywheel i could barley get my car into gear. It would only go into gear by forcing the shifter in. I bled it nearly a dozen times and I THOUGHT i was adjusting my pedal when in reality i was adjusting the curise controll stopper thinger . Well i installed a new master/slave cylinder and then i found the reall pedal adjuster wayyy under the dash, its actually on the end of the master cylinder. I undid the lock nut and could barley get a needle nose plyers on to twist it and vualla, the shifter went into gear like butter. bled it a few more times and WOW. The shifter goes into all gears at idle like a bran new car, goes into second like butter but at the very end of third i get a tinnny little grinding. Im about to just adjust it a tiny bit more/bleed it again. However i still need some help from the org.....
1st. I was wonder if i could get a someone to pop there hood, have somone press on the clutch and have you stick a pry bar (about 2 and a half feet long) inbetween the slave and the clutch fork and see if u can move the fork anymore. Bassicly i want to see if a perfectly working clutch moves the fork all the way to is maximum, or weather u can still more the fork like say a quarter inch with a pry bar. Before adjusting my pedal i coudl still move the fork like 3/4 - an inch with the clutch fully depresssed.
2ed. When i installed my new throwout bearing i never greased it up and now when i let my clutch out i can hear it squeek, i was wondering if u tought it was possibly to pull the rubber boot off the clutch fork and stick a grease gun down there and give it a little lube. wut do u guys think?
ps. im sure there is about a million spelling/grammar erros in this but i typed it up in about 5 seconds cuz im so excited i finally figured it out!!
