Emission Test Help
I just went for an emission test on a 95 auto maxima SE with about 110k miles on it. It passed on "HC ppm" and "CO%" but failed on "NO ppm". The limit was 435 and the car read 799. The mechanic wants about $500 to clean the PCV valve and replace the EGR solenoid. Do you guys think that these are the problems leading to the failed emission test?
Do you know what "NO ppm" stands for? I know ppm stands for parts per million...but what about NO?
What do you guys recommend I do...I want to try and fix this myself.
I am going to try and clean the IACV, check for codes (no SES light), and try using Seafoam through the brake booster line.

Is replacing the EGR solenoid the only way to fix the problem? Or is there anything else I can/should do?
Thanks for your input
