you could check the s'ced/tb'ed section for more information as to what your getting into. They have great info in the stickies.

I would go with Turbo because you heard about super chargers needed to be rebuild, shredding belts, etc.

True but pulling the turbo off will be faaar easier than pulling the SC'er off. Taking the turbo off would be almost as quick as ". . .ejecto seato cuz!!!"

but, installing extra pressure on a 10 year old motor is just gonna make it go BOOM eariler than it's supposed to. Have extra cashola on hand for that motor rebuild it's gonna need dude.

There are methods to determine the health of your motor to know weather or not to boost it.

You can find plenty of 3.0 and dirt cheap. So if one blew, give it a few days and another one could be at your door ready to drop in.

Definately, but it's still an issues that needs to be addressed if you are planning on boosting your motor. Even if you find a dirt cheap 3.0 motor, what is the condition going to be like? Some junk yards will tell you "it's just been rebuilt" when all they have done to it is shine it up a little bit.
too much extra work for me. I'll stay na thanks.

No one should truely belive a junk yard that states they rebuilt and engine. And I dont know of a junk yard that would rebuild a 3.0 engine, thats a waste of time, throw it away and get another one.

Check the motor to determine its ability to boosts isnt that intensive, and if your planning on running high boost and want to rebuilt the internals, It doest matter how much milage is on it cause they key elements are getting replaced.

If your that worried about a a 10 year old car and boost then yes you should remain N/A.

Sure, I'll still be driving a slow car, but so what? I'm out of the "lets race days" and don't really care about going fast. WHat does it matter when the speed limit is 45 anyway?
I can get to 45 just as fast as I need to and that way, I'm not hard on the car and having to replace parts before they are intended to be replaced.
Would it be nice to be turbo'd or super'd? You bet. is it worth it? FOR ME and ME ONLY, nope.
It might be for you and that's great. I'm not dissin you for your choice or anything, just trying to state some facts about a so called bolt on kit and the extra costs that some people dont' consider.

Understandable JSMax but that power can be used in many more places that just the highway.

If you think about the "go fast" portion of your statement, what are your comments on say Corvett, Z, SRT-4, STi, EVO, all these cars go fast stock from the factory.

In your way of thinking we should all get a Prius or Yaris and call it a day, it will get us up to 45 or 65 and done.

Not bashing or anything just sparking a good discuss that is spinning away from the original topic

Ye not bashing either JSMax, i was actually just playin, but for me i kinda wanna race alittle, maybe take it to the track. Im thinking that 4-5K is better spent on a muscle car tho, maybe a camaro or trans am which i'll just build a true high performance motor on. I love my max but hat fuel injection, i dont understand it enough to go playin on the motor. However i could assemble a SB Chevy in no time so im gunna aim for 500rwhp in a camaro.
