wire mesh grill

i just read the how to for making my own mesh grill, but one question. If i dont want to use my stock grill behind the mesh, how can i make it keep its form and all? I dont want to see the stock on behind it.

Cut it out.Drill a few holes and zip tie the mesh in a position.

if you zip tie it at each corner, it will be pretty securely held in place. You might be able to see thru easier since there is no back but I assume that Is that you want.

yea im going to use really fine mesh. i just dont like seeing the stock one behind it looks cheesy imo. Thnx for the help, now i just need to decide if i want it black or not (im thinking yes)

Glad look so damn good. I painted my mesh black and put it over the stock grill and you cant see it. But either way its a damn good look especially on a black car.

mine is green pearl but its so dark......yea im going w/ black 99% sure. will decide when i buy the stuff tomm

it should look pretty nice no matter which color you go with. Maybe Body color . . .
