i'm still torn between the progress springs and H&R's. obviously, the H&R's have a great reputation and [comfort] is my key criteria. i've been reading the progress springs offer a much more aggressive stance, while being very comparable to the H&R's in comfort and ride. the money isn't the issue here. although the progress springs are $80 cheaper than the H&R's, but I need to get the set of springs that would give me the comfort/stance I am looking for. I'm definitely gettin illuminas, so if you have that combo as well. give me a few words.

I believe H&R springs for 4th gens drop the rear more than the front and look really awkward. I have progress/koni yellows and they're basically perfect, I love them.

I've driven with H&R's and Progress springs. The difference isn't that noticable between the two springs. The H&R's are a little bit more comfortable but not by much. I'd go for the progress because of the look.

I've had my AGX/Progress setup for about 8 months and I've loved every minute of it. Great stance and the ride was much better than I expected (first time I've lowered a car).

They are both good springs. I road in a 5th gen with the progress springs and it was very, very stock like. Other springs to consider are the Tokico's or H-techs. They both have very soft rates with a mild drop.

no choice at all.. progress FTW. Although I rock cut Eibachs now, I wanted a stiffer ride with the same drop as my progress had.

I have Progress/Illumina, the ride & stance are great!!!
As for your alignment, Firestone should still honor it.
I got my lifetime alignment with no problem.

I just installed Eibach/Illumina which I bought used locally. The drop is quite even, but I'm getting complaints from rear passengers about harshness. I've played around with the Illumina settings and even the softest setting, the ride is stiff. I knew beforehand that the Eibachs would be stiff, but I got a good deal for the combo (including mounts/bearings/boots), it was a straight swap for the mechanic to do. Now I may have to swap to Progress for more comfort...

Don't mean to thread-jack..how is the ride difference between the two springs? I have Eibachs now.
