Clutch takes a dump

So I'm driving down the road, nice and easy coz there's CHP behind me and I change into 3rd only the clutch pedal gets stuck on the floor. I pull it back up with my foot but it's all squidgy, nothing for the first 3/4 travel then mush. Remembering back to my first car, one of Britains finest (no synchros at all) I start double-declutching and smoothly carry on to pick up my daughter.

On the way back it's dark so I can't do any diagnostics, but I'm hearing a sort of throw-out bearing whirr when I push the clutch all the way in. I had a new clutch put in about 4 yrs ago but I'm not sure it they replaced the pressure plate.

Do you think I might get lucky and just have some master/servo cylinder work or am I looking at a new clutch?

Guess I'll find out in the morning.

I'm guessing the servo/actuator shouldn't look like this???

The hydraulics are fine, no leaks. I'm in for a new clutch then eh?

It could be something as simple as your throwout bearing or slave cylinder gone bad.

Anyone looked at their actuator arm recently that can tell me if mines cocked?

I'd have thought it would be in line with the bellhousing parting line.

The clutch house thinks its the fork and the throw out bearing took a dive. We'll see when she's opened up tomorrow.

I thought the shop I took it to for the last clutch exactly 3 years ago (40Kmiles max) might have forgotton to grease the TO bearing. They say they replaced it but I can't believe it could fail so soon. I don't ride the clutch at all.

Then again, maybe the fork & pivot failed and I need a new bell housing.

That wouldn't be bad would it?

Yea it does look crooked. I dont know why. It should be in line with the ball thingy. I looked at mine today not not crooked. Here a pic I took like 8 months ago so look at it.

...the fork pivot has broken off the bellhousing...right?
Anyone got a shot inside the bellhousing. Is the pivot a bolt on or is it molded into the bellhousing?
