15" Sawblades - BLACK?

Hey, coming into work today, I got cut off really badly coming into the toll booths and when I swerved to avoid the DB I curbed the EFF out of my front drivers side wheel. I found a webpage on how to refinish the wheel but I don't think it's going to look right if I try to paint it the Alum color. So I am thinking about painting the wheels after I refinish them. Has anyone painted their sawblades? (OR seen painted sawblades?) & if so, does anyone have pictures? I was thinking of going with black. What do Y'all think?

Thanks. - Jon

I've seen them(no pics) and they look pretty nice painted black. You should try something different, maybe gold or gunmetal.

+1^^^^ I bet you could pick one up cheap on ebay. If not, I'd say do something crazy like either flatblack or gunmetal, or some variation of a pollished lip.

OR get some tires for those 5 spokes you have in the shed.

hello all
well, I looked on ebay and all they have for a single sawblade is a NEW one for 300 shipped.. which is down right INSANE.. (especially because I think these wheels are some-what ugly to begin with!!!) BUT like my bro said, I have 5 spokes but I need to buy tires for them so if that is all there is on ebay I'd be better off just buying new tires for the 5 spokes... SO basiclally,
I'm looking for a cheap alternative to buying another wheel... unless the price is right.. so if you know anyone with a single sawblade PLEASE PM ME!! OR just tell me what color you think would look best. Thanks for the help fellas.

not as much as you might think. I shipped 4 2002 17" GLE rims from OH to CA for $78 with tax using DHL. I sent them ground on Friday afternoon, arrived Monday afternoon. Pretty sweet service if you ask me.

WOW that is surprising, did you have to box them, or did they just zip-tie the wheels together? (I got tires like that once) 96I30azn I will let you know if I'm going to buy those wheels as soon as the guy gets back to me.

I boxed them up, two individually, and two in one box together. The two that were seperate where actually cheaper, something like $19/wheel IIRC. It was half what UPS was asking. Also, make sure you get boxes that fit pretty tightly, and tape them up well. Once you start getting much larger than a wheel, it starts getting more expensive, though only by a few bucks.

Paint them black. I remember Dave Sz had painted his sawblades a dark gunmetal/black and it looked really nice on his car.
