The IACV ticks when you move the steering wheel? It ticks all the time don't it?

What exactly in turning the steering correlates to the tick in the IACV?
I'm baffled!

any creaking isn't normal...it's not supposed to...change your strut bearings with new OEM nissan brands. You won't hear a thing anymore. Some 4th gen models apperently have some steering rack problems, get that checked out aswell(97-99 i think). also if you want the life of your steering components to last, never turn the wheel while the car isn't moving. You are putting a lot of stress on it's components, making them wear out even quicker. Eitherway, suspension strut bearings aren't too expensive, but the labour might be, cause the front shocks have to come out. Eitherway, good luck

as for the steering rack, how would i check if i have a problem? (i got a 99)

and yea, i only turn the wheel while not moving when im turning around or something. i dont sit there and turn the wheel for fun lol
