Replacement Alternator
Replacement Alternator
Car has had trouble starting and battery is less than 1 year old. Went to Advance today and had my battery/Alternator tested. Test showed the output of the alternator is only 95 amps, which said is border line ok. But the diode test failed. Additionally, there is a turbine like noise coming from the vicinity of the alternator, i assume this is the alternator bearing going bad. So is there any way to replace just the diode and bearing or just replace the alternator all together? If so, what is the best one for the money. I have seen remans. for $125-225. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
