Anyone switched from Eibach to Progress?

I'm thinking of doing this to improve ride comfort. Any ideas?

I switched from Eibach/KYB to H&R/Stock shocks. The H&R/Stock combo was much much better in terms of comfort. The Eibach/KYB was bone jarring especially when my tires were close to max pressure.

Well I've dropped my tire pressure to stock (33fr/32r) and the ride has improved, though still a little stiff. My Illuminas are set to 2 all around. I can get Progress for a decent price, just not sure if I should go through the hassle of switching them then finding that the ride has not substantially improved.

I don't think coilovers would improve the ride I miight search around locally to see if I can get a shop to fab some SFC's and see what it does to the ride after.

I don't know if you really want to go as much as 2 inches. You might run into alignment problems. I've only used Eibach before but got a good deal on some used H&Rs so thats what is on my car now. I think the H&Rs are better than Eibach.

My opinion is you're better off stiffening your suspension with bigger sway bars rather than slamming it. If you want to slam it, i'd go with something adjustable or else you may some day regret it.

I went from the Koni/Eibach combo to the Koni/Springtech (aka CMS) combo. Alot more comfortable IMO and gained an additional 1/2" drop in front. No height change in the back after switching. Rode in MaxRB8's car with Illuminas/Eibach combo and it was sweet. I'd say a little better than my current combo.

Right here, progress goes for 157 SHIPPED! Best deal on the planet and hes a real cool dude to deal with... the ebay one you have will end up almost the same with tax and the shipping cost, but it's up to you. I just put these progress springs on my 98 GLE and I can't beleive I waited so long to get em, I just can't wait until they fully progress so it gives it that real aggressive low look in the front!

Hi BlackCat..MaxRB8's car is now a 5th gen right? I seem to recall reading that the Eibach/Illumina combo fares much better on the 5th gen because of the stiffer chassis. I know you posted on TMEC that after switching from Eibach to CMS, you felt the ride had improved. I wanted to go with CMS, but got a good deal on the Eibach/Illumina combo including mounts/bearings/spring wrap. I may get some custom SFC's instead.

Yep, I rode in his car before he got the 5th gen. Wish I had your new setup!
