Air bag light keeps flashing...
My car has been previously in an accident in 2000, before I bought it, and on carfax it said airbags were deployed. Today I floor it from a red light, and at around 5k rpms i hit some sort of bump spiking the redline I think or 6k rpms, weird automatic transmission, then the power transferred to the other wheel, it wasn't too big, or too small of a bump, but a decent size, and then the airbag light kept flashing, and still is, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks guys, I always love you guys for helping me

How old is the car?? Mine did the same thing with the flashing air bag light I had to take it to an auto shop they hooked it up to a tester of some kind & had to reset. They said it was cause it had been 10years from the date of manufacture.

Get in the car and leave the driver's door open. Insert the key and turn the ignition to ON but do not start. Within 10 seconds of turning ign on, push the button in the door frame that operates the courtesy lights 7 times within that 10 seconds. Without turning the ignition back to off, start car. Airbag light should still blink, but slower. Turn car off and restart. The airbag light should go out and stay out after the initial light up period. If you do have a problem the light may come back later.
