do you have to pull out the whole tranny to get the harness in. i have the vb off and i have the solenoids disconected i just cant get the wiring harness out and even when i do get it out the cord on the top of it is like 10 inches long and how would i plug it in?

never mind got it. but now i dont knwo where the small spring goes. i know where the big one goes but a small spring fell out of somwhere and i dont have any idea where it goes.

im not even sure if the spring is from the tranny it fell on the ground when i was connecting the harness its about an inch and a half long and its black.

To the left of the hole for the solenoid harness connector, there's a large cylindrical hole bored out in the trans body, above the VB where there's a retainer piece of metal bolted through, the spring goes in that hole with the VB bolted on to keep it in place.

are you talking about the larger spring? another thing i put everything back together and now i cant get it out of park.
