I picked up a pearl white '97 Maxima SE 5spd, loaded with BLACK leather, heated seats, Bose, etc yesterday from the original owner with only 83k miles. I got it off of Craigslist, I was the first guy to look at it, the seller said "I've had amazing response from Craigslist". No kidding!

The car is in sweet condition, all stock with the exception of Eibach springs. He also threw in a set of 5-spoke 17" wheels he bought new but changed back to the stock 16" for a better ride.

I'll throw a couple pics of the car up when the sun is out and throw in some pics of the wheels. I'll probably end up selling them.

Any common problems specific to the 5spd? I've had auto Maximas before, this is my first 5spd.

i miss ya man.. wish you wouldnt have sold the maxima. althought im starting to hate my car, after de-modding its really horrible.

the cattman gone, progress/AGX gone, SSR comps gone and the pieces to my 300zx brake kit gone.. pretty depressing I'm thinkign maybe an STi or a 350z N/A beast is my future.

 

I want to sell them. I'll probably buy some 16x8" RX-7 wheels for auto-x instead.

Congrats on the purchase. If you don't mind, how much did you pay for it? Add about 100k miles and that's where I'm at with my 97 5sp. Oh, how's the clutch? Original? Getting any chatter?

$6200 for the car. The clutch is original, slightest bit of chatter. I figure it'll need to be replaced in 10-20k miles or something.
