A dirty Pop Charger was causing hesitation.
My friend was having hesitation problems with his Max. He has over 100,000 miles on the car, and was having some hesitation problems. Had his car checked out yesterday, and the only problem they found was a very, very dirty Pop Charger. He had this thing on his car for over 3 years and never cleaned it one time.
I had a K&N cleaner kit so I told him to stop by and I'd help him clean it. I pop the trunk and get a first glance at his filter and the thing is totaly black. It had a thick coating of gunk all over it. It was so dirty I thought he might have to get a new one. It took some effort, but we got it cleaned. Tada! Gunk is gone, nice purple color is restored.
Hesitation problem is history, and the car has regained it's power. He called me at work today saying his car feels like it gained 20 more hp. I guess it does as dirty as that sucker was.
