Mechanical Issues

Here are my issues,

1. My car is a pain to start (1995 Maxima)

2. When i give it gas, there is a lot of hesitation

1. Ive posted about this before, I just havent solved anything yet. After 3 or 4 attempts my car finally starts. I have to give it gas, it cranks but just doesnt turn on. I dont know if its a fuel problem or electrical problem. It happens every morning and when the car sits for a few hours. Sometimes it will start and the rpms bog up and down and it dies.

2. I replaced my coiilpacks and injectors a few months ago. The hesitation stopped after the new injectors were installed, but it has come back now. Its nowhere near as bad, but if I floor it I have to wait a few seconds to get some pick up. I dont race or anything, but when I need to speed up or get on the expressway I have to wait for my car to pick up. The hesitation is annoying.

3. This may be related to problem 2, when i am driving usually WOT everynow and then and always upon starting my exhaust makes a popping noise. I was told the hanger for my exhaust snapped and is hitting the exhaust, and I have read that this has happened to a few other members here. I just wanted to make sure its not a backfire, I have heard other cars back fire and it sounds like a gun shot, mine just sounds like a wierd noise "boiink". Hard to describe, but im desperate at this point.

I have no CEL, but cant really get a reading anywhere anyway. Cant do the dealership, and autozone said they cant do cars older than 1996. Anyone have any advice?

I've been rading about the hesitation issue and starting issue and came up with a list of things that I know nothing about. Knock sensor, MAF, and throttle body have been related to a couple of hesitation issues. And I have no idea about the starting issue, starter, alternator, etc. Sorry about the long post, I'm just trying to get my car back to running properly.

What year is your car? If it is before 95 it must be odb 1. Ask on the third gen forum also.

just out of curiosity, in relations to when you give it more gas and hesitates first, when was the last time the gas filter was changed?

happened in my 92 sentra... if I slowly accelerate, no problem, but the moment I press a little harder to accelerate, the car would hesitate...

it turned out the fuel/gas filter was never changed by the previous owners..
it was sooo clogged... so might want to check that

my car is a 95 too and i am having similar problems.it starts fine but will hesitate sometime ,sometimes it idles fine and sometimes it will just die down then cut off.when cruising at about 70mph it will kinda hesitate or stutter.i took it to autozone and they hooked it up and gave me the codes "p0300" and "p0136" so i will be geeting an 02 sensor to see if it will solve the problem.By the way which sensor is bank one or downstream sensor. and what can causes a multiple misfire of the the cylinders could it be my 02 sensor?

Within the past 1,000 miles Ive changed my coilpacks, injectors, and fuel filter. I'll stop by autozone later and try and see if I throw any codes
