Brake Calipers

Was wondering if anyone knew where to get some good brake calipers. any website or if somebody was selling them I would be interested too, what are some good brands? or just go with Nismo? what prices are reasonable for good/nice calipers?

Most calipers u get will be rebuilt. Go for one with a long warranty. Kragen and Autozone have good warantees.

Or this can also be a good time to invest in a bbk.

You are going to have to do OEM (or rebuilts) or a BBK of some sort. Just depends on how much you want to spent.

I've had good luck with the rebuilt ones (available just about anywhere). A BBK is another idea (look in Brake/Suspension forum), just make sure your wheels are 17"+ (and an "open" 17 at that) so they'll clear nicely.

I need to use 15" alloys during the winter, so BBK was a no go for me. I just replaced all 4 caliper+rotor+pad for around $600 (rebuilt OEM calipers, brembo rotors, hawk pads). Oh yeah, plus about $300 in temporary core charges on the calipers ;/

I don't think there are OEM calipers available. You can try calling the dealer to verify this... maybe they got a secret stash somewhere. Remanufactured is as best u can get. Most are tested so they're not likely to leak or stick. Again, look for something with a lifetime warranty. Also, in general, buy from a trusted retailer.

does someone have a link to a good site where I can get some nice brake calipers, I mean the only reason why I feel like I need to change it is because when I brake to a stop my car stutters...

those are warped rotors not bad calipers....get some rotors and pads...and i got my Z calipers from Napa and one from Autozone

i paid... i think 85 for the one from AZ and 95 or something from Napa but that one was loaded....and those were for 94 300zx tt calipers

Depends on how much you want to spend. Most all of them come with a lifetime warranty.
