94 VQ30 5spd tranny work in 4th gen?

94 VQ30 5spd tranny work in 4th gen?

Topic.


I saw a 5spd tranny for sale out of a 94 vq30 maxima it said it also had limited slip

my question is did these actually come with limited slip and will this tranny work in my car if i were to do a auto to 5spd swap

call me stupid, but i thought 94 maximas had ve30de and vg30e.. not vq

they did....but they are teh DOHC...but i have no clue of the trans will work...u could check the tranny codes

thats what i thought, but the guyposted vq30, well im not to sure i want to be the test dummy and try it if its never been done before. Just saw it for a good price on ebay(no reserve and $175 s/h) so thought i'd get some facts on it if possible..

the vq30 use a different bellhousing than a ve, or vg

it's not a 94 VQ trans because there was no VQ in 94 (well in japan there was I believe, but those were RWD).

Anyways the 3rd gen bell housing is not the same so I highly doubt it'll mate up.

lol, ok thanks all for the info, because i was seconds away from getting it, guess ill tell the guy it doesnt work because he has it as 94 maxima 5spd tranny w/ LS will fit 94-99 maxima
