Steering wheels and shifter vibrations!

Im having a couple issues with my steering wheel and shifter vibrating heavily whenever i accelerate. Its getting worse everyday but i cant figure out what it is.when the car is on cruise control its fine. I installed a Pacesetter short throw shifter a while ago but it didnt do it from the beginning. I looked under the car and the bolt holding the shifter seems to be tights but i coulnt really play with it since the exhaust was still warm. I also have a new shifter bushing. Has anyone ever experienced this problem before?
Thanks in advance guys
Mihai

if you feel it the wheel then its not the short throw. i would say check CV's and maybe rim and tire roundness...aka balance

i have a similar problem with my auto.. the damn wheel shakes when accelerating hard.. and over bumps but not when going a high speed.. so its not tire related..

I looked at the tires and they are uneven in the front. ill put the rears on the front and see if it makes a difference.

if it only shakes at certain speeds then its definitely tire related. but your wheel shakes when hitting bumps also so your situation is a lil more f'd up. id check my front end before a wheel falls off.

i guess i wasnt clear enough.. it doesn happen at any particular speed.. only over bumps thats why its not the tires or wheel fault..
