Its over for my max

This is what happens when somebody clips the back end of your car at 35 mph...

Yeah when they hit me it made me fish tail and slam into the back of a work van. And this will be total from the looks of it.

Ouch that sucks. And it was a 5 spd? Damn.

As long as your ok is the important thing.

Looks like it can be a track car now. Damage isnt excessive where it cant be driven.

Hey, get another max (if you can find one with a blown engine, do that it'll save you $$) and put the 3.5 in that one.

thats not a bad thing...thats a good thing in a way...with the money your are going to get from the settlement, u can get a good 4th gen with a blown engine (real cheap at the auction) and drop your 3.5 in there, that leaves you with extra ash to do more stuff.....

but i am sorry about this though...like we all say..once you're ok...lol
just shake it off and go 4th gen hunting.....

Oh my damn . . .

I want to say they might not total it. The Doors took a lot of damage and they can be replaced. The Roof would need some work as well as the quarter panel on the drive side, and by the side skirts on the pass side.

It might be very close to being totaled. Either way I hope they either repair it to perfection, or you get to pull your mods and they give you enough cash to purchase another Max.

Best of luck

I bought mine and so have others on here to fix up. oh and you are smiling in the pic of pass side..reflection in the windows

Right don't know what i'm going to do yet, waiting on the insur. company. And I am considering buying it back if I find another 4th gen max.

Gold: I am using the 5th gen IACV but most people mount it near the VIAS.

I was intially hit at 35 mph but I fish tail (slowing me down some) for at least 20 feet before the side of my car hit a van.

You are lucky to be ok. The good news is that you can always get another ride. That was a clean 4th gen though.

Sorry about your misfortune.

Be on the look out for a clean, loaded 4th Gen.

Get one with a sunroof next time. I suspect you didn't have leather either. Both are a must IMHO.

I think it's more like squinting in pain than smiling

Sorry for your loss. Don't lose hope or your desire to do the swap. Find another 4th gen and continue moving forward!

Yeah and you might even have enough dough for a paint job.

1k for a blown one + 1k for the 3.5 swap and the rest for a nice paint job color of your choice. Is that a deal or what?
