IIRC they are unequal length and are worth just about what you pay for them. What they aren't worth, though, is the install, unless your VQ is already yanked for whatever reason.

I'm no expert but the design of the y-pipe itslef looks like garbage compared to other y-pipes such as cattman, budget, and WS. The way the pipes meet make it look like it wouldn't flow very well.

I'd never buy any performance part from Ebay, cause honestly u get what u pay, if its cheap, it will be of cheap quality, save up a little more and get it from a legitimate site.

I did the mistake of buying OBX headers... first off, you have to shave a little bit off of each motor mount in order to install them... second, one of the O2 sensor bungs is in a posistion where it doesnt allow the O2 sensor to go in. DONT GET THEM!! There was a very minor improvement in performance.
However, it made the exhaust sound a whole lot nicer...but it's just a hassle to install!

I also dont like the design of the y-pipe.. they actually have two flex pipes installed on them. I'm planning on cutting the first small flex pipe and welding a metal pipe in place of it.

yeah i never even considered OBX because of certain design flaws.. but this set actually has intrigued me for a while, yet I dont believe anyone has tried these. Anyone know the maker by any chance, the same set is also advertised as "Jdm maxima headers" lol.

Wow I was just looking at them when looking on ebay for the PRCAI,I just didnt know if they were worth it,from what Ive heard headers are a apin to install on the max so if they gonna be a pain they better be worth it.

The new OBX headers look good but are a ***** to install since the rear header is welded to the ypipe.

There is no reason to get any crappy header over a regular y pipe. Hotshot or Cattman are the only way to go. A 99 calispec on the other hand, could benifit from the shorty SSAC/XS power setup because of their front pre cat.

I think that new obx header doesnt look too bad, actually has some what of an equal length design..now to actually know if it benefits like hs or cattman..I dunno. but when I do my swap im thinkin about doing headers at the same time. and the obx are cheaper!

Will the hot shots for 3.5 work on a de-k?

I noticed the OBX headers did change from what I have.

The only reason I dont regret getting them now is because they made my car sound a whole lot deeper and nicer.

I just should have just done a 2 1/2 exhaust pipe with a 5th gen muffler and kept my Stillen y-pipe...
Oh well...money down the drain

does XS make the headers I linked to, they might not be equal length but they look good and I'd be in it just for the sound change? I mean I had the cattman Y and CB and it rocked but still I wonder about the other options out there, minus OBX and the rather poorly constructed other versions.

yeah for some reason one of them specifies 95-96 and the other 95-99. I am probably going to go with the one on the bottom because I dont like how on the top design, the rear header doesnt look like it connects to the y pipe in a very free flowing way. Like the piping is making the air flow come back to the front of the car then to get pushed back out to the back?

I bought the bottom design and these are the ones that you'll need to shave a little piece off of teach motor mount... you'll also have to plug up the O2 sensor bung and re-tap the header or y-pipe to insert the O2 sensor.
