I have friggin' searched everywhere...

on this forum and can't find a decent answer. Here is my story: I have a 95 SE automatic with 193k + miles. About a month ago it started giving me a code (0607) which I figured out meant I had a misfire in my number 2 cylinder. Since that time I have done the following: replaced all coils, replaced all spark plugs, replaced cylinder 2 fuel injector, tested compression on cylinder 2. Nothing seems to work, I still have a code showing a misfire in cylinder 2 and I can't keep driving it this way. It is very rough when slowing down and vibrates like a off-balance washing machine at stops. Is there some Nissan trick that I should know about, or something I am missing? I have my brother-in-law, who is a mechanic for BMW, looking at it and he can't figure it out.

Just to be sure... Are you sure you're working on the correct cylinder?

Here's a diagram thanks to JATAN:

Also, have you done any other work to the car recently?

Yep cylinder 2 right up front.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the only thing me or my brother-in-law can think of is that maybe either the fuel injector or coil/sparkplug is not getting power, but then wouldn't that affect all cylinders/fuel injectors/plugs/coils?

That was actually gonna be my next suggestion.

Check the plug that goes into that ignition coil. Make sure power is getting to the coil.

You could have voltage drop anywhere in that system. Start checkig to see if you have any to the parts that fire that cylinder. (coil, injector, etc) It could be a control problem. Just out of curiosity, what plugs did you install?

pull plug #2 while the car is running. is there any change in the way the car runs. check the harness that plugs into the injector for corrosion. try switching coil #2 to another location and see if the misfire follows it. then try doing that with a spark plug. its probably not that though since you said you changed all 6 coils and plugs but it wont hurt to check. only other thing i can think of is that injector pig tail.
