I've taken my '99 GXE up to 125 before on the beltway (at roughly 3:00am on a Wednesday morning). The car has decent pull until about 110, but acceleration after that takes a siginificant dive. I'm pretty certain, even without the electronic speed governor, that anything above 135-140 would be difficult to achieve, unmodded.
