to be honest with you I dont know for sure. I bought the car used back in November.. January time frame the CEL light came on with no noticeable change in performance... it started tapping knocking in probably june, so I changed the plugs and oil, and it (noise) went away... in the meantime, the CEL would turn on and off intermittently, so I figured it was just a bug, since it seems to be in the TSB's.... as August rolled around, the noise came back... I was blaming it ion cheap gas, but the CEL light has been on solid since mid July, when I stopped at Autozone to see what the problem was, hence the p0133 & p0153...
I was only getting combined 20mpg for the past few years. Then last month, the CEL came on. I had the knock sensor and purge valve replaced and recently I got a combined 24mpg. Of course, with the increased peppiness I also started hitting the gas more later on and it went down to 17. But it did that too when I bought it new in 94.
