They arent going on my car like that. I will be painting the bottom half transluecent red to match the trunk lights. Then I will put an amber bulb in for the blinker. The end result will be nothing different from any other factory built car that has red/clear tail lights.

I remember those. I didnt pay $500 for them. That was just rediculous. Im sure someone out there would pay that much though. These a much better quality than the CE ones.

Are those painted on the outside or the inside? I really want to paint the inside but im about opening them up. Its not like I can replace them if I bugger one up. I have opened some alturds up before and it was fairly easy, but this is a little different.

They Look damn good in the pics. I guess the extra scratches you want to get out must be hair thin.

Good find! If I still had a 95/96 Trunk lid I'd be jealous

dubbya, mine are painted on the inside. i was frickin nervous too, so i precticed on an altezza. it really is pretty easy. just put it in the oven at the right temp for a few minutes. check it. if not, just put it back in and check it again in a few. as long as you don't force it open, you'll be fine. the paingint went pretty well, too. if you want more details on how i did mine, send me a PM. i did them just this past july, so i'm still pretty familiar with it. good luck!

The bottom half is kind of yellowish/hazy. Not sure why the top half isnt affected, but none the less a quick polishing will fix 'em up.

When I bought my car, it already had those clear tails. The guy I bought it from stuck some crappy red bulbs in it that made it look pink. Cops kept pulling me over for them. I put in red leds and they look much better. They light up bright red and cops don't bother me anymore. I picked up a 97-99 trunk lid so as soon as I get it painted and pick up the new bumper along with new tails I'll probably be selling mine but it's gonna be a few months.

Wow, I never knew two Co.s produced them. This is the first Ive heard of this. I know for a fact the majority of them were made by APC. I didnt even think TYC was around when the clears were first being released.

I was confused too. I could have swore that APC made them, but then I saw that.

So I see they arrived safely. I was going to email you to see if everything was OK with them. Like you I am not sure why the bottom turned yellow but not the top. I did give them a quick polish when I had them and removed some of the yellow. Well glad you like them and enjoy.
