Return of the Max! I'm back, another 4th gen!
I am proud and glad to be a 4th gen. Maxima owner again. Back in February I totalled my beatiful 99 SE-L loaded with everything 5-speed Maxima. It only had 69K on it and I was very said.
Well, I was able to replace it with a 99 E36 M3 (only had 26k, now with 31K), and yesterday I bought this beauty, a black 1995 Maxima SE 5-speed. Car has 130k on it but is in excellent condition. Bose, moonroof, even heated seats (which amazingly was not on my 99 Max that had leather). Would you guys believe that I only paid $2,000 for this car! That's right, I got an amazing deal for only $2,000! Car was thoroughly inspected at Martin Nissan (was Fergus) by my cousin who is a 10 year tech there. The car needs rear brakes (I'm just gonna do all 4), a new trunk key lock, and the brackets on the exhaust broke off causing a rattle. That's it! Even the rims are not scuffed! I'm sorry to keep rambling, but I am so happy to have found this car.

Thanks everyone. LOL, in all honesty I feel extremely lucky with great timing. The car was at Infiniti in downtown Chicago. They got it in June and originally (according to the salesman who I do believe) they were asking $6900, then after a while $5900, then $4900, and "now we just want it to go away!" The car came to them in June and was maintained at Continental Nissan. The carfax had all the servicing info, and this was a 1-owner car. Again, a lot of luck. Besides, on the damn showroom floor was an M45, QX56, Mercedes SLR, AMG 55SL...so I'm sure they'll be ahead at the end of the day!
They had it advertised for $2995 which caught my attention, and they accepted my offer of $2,000 ($2380 with tax, title, fees, and license). I am shocked myself still, but I am not complaining! There are other good deals on www.craigslist.com for those interested.
Thank you guys, and like I said, I am proud and glad to be a Maxima owner. I really love the 4th gen's, although a 5.5 6-speed is nice too. I am going to keep this one mostly stock, maybe little things like intake, exhaust when this one is done, y-pipe, but other than that I want to put the money into forced induction for the M3 in 2-3 years if all goes well. Thanks again for all the great comments.
