I might be relocating to Miami soon from Indianapolis so I need to know your EXPERIENCEd MAXIMA opinion:
Ship the Max Or Drive it there?! Will it make it? I expect around 130K on the odometer before the moving process. I already got quoted around 800 bucks to ship it there...I'm gonna keep looking.

You know your car better than us but I can tell you I drove mine 2000 miles with 125,000 miles on the car and it ran great! The highway miles are the best miles you can put on your car, the easiest! For $800.00 you can do all the maintenance there is to do and buy a carbon fiber hood! Drive it!
C'mon man. The car is meant to be driven. If you already have over 100,000 miles on the car, low mileage is not something to think about. I did an NC to Boca Raton and back in july/august and just came back from an 800 mile trip to the mountains and back. 257,xxx miles- no worries, mate.
+1 drive it, two years back, me and two friends of mine drove cross country, fom massachussets across us on I-80 to oregon/washington and back, we put 10,000 miles altogether in two weeks, car drove better then i expected, not a single problem, DRIVE IT. Also, if you do deside to ship, make sure you get a reputable transportation company wih full insurance. Which can easily ring up more than $800. just my two cents.
Definitely drive it. Not to mention how long are you going to be out of your car? I know shipping it has to take up to two weeks or more. Forget that one. Like the others said you can do all the maintenance twice over and still have mod money left.
only you know your car, if you've taken care of it drive it. If its a piece of crap sell it, and get a better one. These cars are meant to be on the open road. Hell, mine averages about 10,xxx+ mile on the open road a year a wants more.
Most definitely drive it....as others have said, highway miles are the best for your car and highway trips are very fun. I drive from VA to NY (and back) every summer with little breakout trips along the way, like a stop off in Boston, and it's a very enjoyable experience.

You talk as though your car is on its last legs, which I don't understand.
130K on a 95 Maxima is nothing. Check your maintenance records and do whatever needs to be done before you go.
The things that come to mind are: when was the last time the tires were rotated? When was the last time the transmission and radiator were flushed?
When was the last time the air filter, fuel filter, oil and filter and spark plugs were replaced?
When was the last time any fuel system product was used, eg. Chevron Techron?
Don't forget to check your tire pressure and over-inflate, say 35/36 pounds front and 34/33 pounds rear - you will get better fuel economy and tread wear on a trip.
Also, check all belts and hoses and clean the throttle body if that hasn't been done in awhile.

The car runs good just that I've never driven THAT far.

You also might want to replace the power steering fluid if that hasn't been done before. I just use an old turkey baster and suck out what I can and repeat the process periodically. Use a measuring cup and replace with the same amount of Dextron III automatic transmission fluid. Do NOT use brake fluid in the power steering reservoir.
You didn't comment on your fuel filter. It should be replaced every 30K.

That's more than a tad ****, lol! How often do you change your oil?
You won't realize any benefits from changing the fuel filter that often, other than a lighter wallet.

Is it just you yourself driving, do you have a wife/girlfriend and/or kids to transport as well?

I never pass up an oportunity for a road trip... drive that biatch!. Take the scenic route through the mountains. It's only 1200 miles. I can do that straight through. Get a buddy to come along. helps in the boring stretches.

I just searched the distance from Speedway, Indiana to Miami and its 1,031 miles which is an easy two-day drive.
What you haven't stated is whether or not there is any moving expenses coverage being offered to you. Even if you shipped your Maxima you would have to fly to Miami. The question is then who pays the flight.
I suspect you are on your hook for expenses related to the move. Consequently, from a financial perspective the decision is a no-brainer .....DRIVE.

just drive it, i was going to say ship it but if somethign happens to your car, you wont know until later on..being able to drive 1k miles lets you bond with who ever is with you and you'll be able to relax. plus its a whole lot cheaper than spending $800+ for shipping charges..
