194 bulbs take care of the gauges only. Are you talking LEDs or what? Post is pretty vague.

Um I believe all interior bulbs need so be sodered on anyways so using new brighter led's is better off. The stock bubls are sodered onto the board. They arnt bright led's but still are sodered directly on there. So all you need is new led's and 194's for the project. 194's will be direct fitment in your car but the led's still need to be sodered.

i think the LEDs may look too bright esp when next compared to the guage clusters. so i can either soder on 194 bulbs or LED bulbs for the other interior lighting jobs?

No 194 are your stock bulbs. They will fit into the the gauges without modifying. All other bulbs on the interior are smaller bulbs. I believe they are a type of led. You complained that the stock bulbs were dull and now you say that the led's wil be too bright? You either get new bulbs that are brighter or stick with the crappy old ones. But as long as you solder correctly the dimmer switch still works on the lights.

Yep I'm doing a red LED conversion this winter (been putting it off for months now). Go to ebay. CwithK is the dealer. He does all led's that come with resistors I believe. The set Im getting is 14.95 shipped for 100 LED's. I'm using 3mm 5000mcd. They are smaller so fitment is easier and they are bright. You probably wont need 100 but in case you break them or they blow if you wire wrong, you'll have extra. I'm also doing everything in the car so I need a lot of them. Go ebay and see what you can find. Im also getting inverted 194 led's for the gauges.
