Brake light and Battery light on while driving

I dont know where to go with this anymore, my brake light and battery light wont turn off after alt change. I've changed the battery and wiring harness, figured maybe I pulled the plug too hard while changing the alt. The alternator seems to be charging fine at 14+ volts but the battery light and brake light still wont turn off. I dont know what else to do.
What would cause those lights to stay on while driving even when the alt is charging fine and the battery is charged as well? I had a prob getting the harness to stay in forsome reason. Anyone else have this kind of trouble?

what a coincidence, im having the same problem it just started happening a couple of days ago while driving on the highway. The brake light and batter light flicker at the same time and stay on for the same amount of time. Im guessing falty wiring somewhere.

Anyone know where the battery light signal comes from, what causes it to come on? Maybe I can check on a loose wire or something.

check it with an ampmeter (ammeter) then turn on all the electrical stuff inside like headlights and rear defroster and watch the voltage/amprage drop..
