i was looking around and i couldn't find any information...

but when i go to start my car, it sometimes starts, and other times, i have to keep trying until it does. i will turn they key, everyting will power (ie radio, lights, etc), but the car wont even turn over. after keep trying several times, it will start. what can cause this? thanks in advance!

 

Happened to me once... but i had my shift lever in drive! Maybe it has something to do with the switch that lets you start when your car's not in gear

 

Ignition Switch. Pretty cheap fix, and takes about 10 min to swap out. Its under the stearing wheel.

it doesnt click or anything. it just does... nothing.

Well my 97 did this sometimes everything would power on but it would not turn over sometimes so I had my daughter get in the car then as she was turning the key to start it I was tapping the starter with a broom stick and it started right up. So it told me it was the starter.
