the warpspeed ones are fine...there is a buig debate about the ones that come with headers......some say that teh merge sucks and others say is not different than warpeed....budget or cattman....IMO ur gonna get gains from it no matter what.....

i have a CE y-pipe. 230 shipped from group buy. great, has a little rasp but its intermitent.

i would buy a budget or warpspeed... cattman is nice i hear from people but it costs alot of cash.

headers are worthless unless your boosted, just make you sound louder, and the headers for maxima - well one is a header and the other is a manifold (cause they are not equil lengths).
they just make the car sound louder - hey thats what i hear on the .org here.

for some other options and more info....

what are the pros on buying aftermarket headers, i see some of those on ebay come with headers (obviously those are cheaper ebay knock offs tho). Budget sounds to be the best deal when getting a y pipe

The only headers to buy are cattman. The pros are the same as exhaust. More air=more power. I would only do them after I get a new exhaust setup tho.

Both of mine were from warpspeed. I'd never buy a different ypipe. Stay away from thoes ebay ones with headers. Thoes are made by SSAutochrome and are crap. Bad collector design and horrible quality.

I spent the big bucks on a Cattman Y-pipe because I did not want ANY possibility of poor quality or fitment. Cattman has the smoothest merge, best construction, and most consistent fitment: their Y-pipe is the only one no one ever complains about (price notwithstanding).

For the record, headers are not only for forced induction. It's just that they won't show improvement worth the money on lightly modded cars because they won't give much more power than a Y-pipe would. It's a totally different story with, say, a 3.5 with some decent tuning. That kind of a setup could definitely get more out of a good set of headers than it would out of just a Y-pipe.

Cattman headers are the best because of their equal-length design and, true to form for Cattman, top-of-the-line fitment and quality. Hotshot headers are next in line: not equal-length, but still better than just a Y-pipe and cheaper than Cattman headers. Those eBay headers by SS Autochrome might have decent quality and fitment, but they will make virtually no more power than a Y-pipe.

hmm so seems if money is an issue you should buy
1. budget
2. warpspeed

found warpspeed on their site (ebay seller as well "warpspeed performance") selling their ypipe for 199 with shipping free. im assuming this is for the aluminized steel ypipe. where can i find a order/shipping page for budget

I currently have a warpspeed pipe with the highflow cat on the way. It was 350 Canadian after shipping, pretty good deal. I talked with the owner (I think) on the phone and through email. Seems like a good guy, and he definetely knows his stuff. I'd go with them if your on a budget.
