Top Speed

I enjoy cruisin at 90-100, right under the boost/byebye gas level.. (or on the edge, whatever )
Top speed, dunno. Been to the 140 mark.. car still pullin. Yes, im not that stupid, it was 2am on a 5lane freeway, i was the only car in sight. (no pigs, thank god)
Yes, the car windows start to wine about 120-125ish.. no big deal

The '98 Grand Cherokee (I'm assuming he meant Grand at least) TSi had a 245 HP 5.9L. That Jeep was almost as fast as an auto Maxima.

And is it just me, or do you hear this loud sound of air rushing over/around the car once the speed hits over 110mph or so?

Yeah, most are limited at around 110. BTW, my intake is making too much noise at that speed to hear the air rushing past. But, I seem to have an exceptionally quiet car. The only thing I hear at speed is road noise, no tire or engine noise under regular conditions.

burried needle
I burried the needle past 140 the other night. I cant wait to get some tranny mods and a computer chip so i can see if i go even faster. I'll borrow a radar gun from a friend next time(he is a cop) and see just how fast i was going. Stock style/size tires.

118.1 according to my GPS.... yes i have a GXE and its limited to that... bummer huh. and yes, they store top speed so you dont have to look down at it at 120 mph to see how fast you are going.

I had my car up 165mph...ya huh. I ain't making it up
I've been up to about 120mph cruising thru a slight bend on the highway while making a riced Civic look a little foolish. I've been up to 100-105mph many times and the car is rock solid. My wife looked over at the speedometer and said "sure doesn't feel like 100mph". I've never noticed excessive wind noise or anything. The ride seems to get smoother (probably because less weight is on you the tires).

I was in North Carolina on I-85. The speedometer read about 135, but I had on 215/50/ZR16, so actual speed was a little slower. I had a good line of sight, could see for about a mile or so. When I looked up from the speedmeter, I saw a car pulling into the median from the other side. It was a cop in a frieking Lumina. He pulled out behind me a hit the blues (by this time I was down to the speed limit). I pulled over and knew he had me. When I got over to the far right lane, he went flying by me. I breathed a sigh of relief and, needless to say, drove the speed limit the rest of the way home. Won't do it again...until I get a fuzz buster.

I hit the speedo up to about 150 or so, in my 96 SE 5-speed, (yes downhill) and the car was riding like it was on rails, I don't get scared about going that fast I get scared of being caught going that fast. It was still fun though. Got my 97 to 140 mph but that's all for now

You guys do realize those pics are fake, right?
If you notice, there is very little blood anywhere. Foots and legs are bent the wrong way, guardrails have no blood, clothes hardly have any blood, the ground has no blood, etc. There is an amazing amount of blood in the human body and when people get ripped to shreds like that, there is blood EVERYWHERE. You'll also notice none of the blood is dried. It's just BRIGHT red. Sorry, blood takes on an almost black color after it's exposed to the air for a few minutes. I do give the guys credit though. The crashed cars are real, but the bodies are fakes.
