Please post any recalls you might know of for this year and car. Thanks. From what i heard, there is a recall on this model's oxygen sensor. So check it out and write it in here so all of us can get it fixed. I love when i fix my car for free. hehe

from what i know, there is a oxygen sensor recall on all 95 max's. Someone from this forum told me that. I just want to know what other ones, if any, are there. One more thing, what the hell is an oxygen sensor, and what's it for?

I never got a recall notice from the factory. I did get a notice saying that they were extending the factory warranty on emissions equipment from 3/36 to 5/50. Luckily, my car fit between the two time frames when my o2 sensors went out. It looks like you may be SOL.

Most 4Gen Maximas have three Oxygen Sensors. There are two front Oxygen Sensors, one mounted in each branch of the Y-pipe. There is one rear sensor mounted just downstream of the Catalytic Converter. The Engine Control Unit (the computer) uses the signals from the two front sensors to control the fuel mixture. When the front sensors are operating normally the rear sensor is used only to monitor the performance of the Catalytic Converter.

For general information about Oxygen Sensors see:

There was a recall for '96, but I haven't seen anything for '95.

i dont think all the cars were called in though... i called my dealer and asked him, he said only certain vin numbers were called back. u might want to call the dealer and ask him if ur vin falls in that category.
