Final Suspension question

I got tired of my rear end bouncing like a ****, and the fact that the front OEM's cant stand the lowering of the eibach springs, I am gonna get a brand new set of 4 shocks.

I have narrowed it down to this:

KYB AGX
KYB GR-2
Tokico HP Blues

These will go with 4 Eibach lowering springs on a 99 Maxima (the springs are there already from previous owner).

So - which should I go with, and why?

Thanks

edit: Before everyone goes "JUST GET OEM REPLACEMENTS ", if I do - it means the springs have to go and that means more money. The front struts were replaced two years ago by the original owner with OEM struts, and now they are failing due to the springs exerting too much force (the car is dropped like 1"-1.5").

I've had AGX's on my 4th gen for several years now. I have been thinking about whether or not I want to lower my 5th gen. If I do, one thing is for sure, I will not be using AGX's.

Well with eibachs and any strut/shocks you'll never get that nice everyday ride your looking for.And the closest is the illuminas.

Exactly Illuminas give the best ride quality out of all the one's you listed. Gr2's are OEM replacements BTW.

Then you probably have the HP's. I was just letting you know that the GR2 shock is OEM replacement, it isn't meant for being dropped. Tokico Illuminas are by far the best Shock on the market except for Koni's.

I have Illuminas on the front and HPs on the rear, the nice part about the Illuminas is the adjustability. Your rears don't need to be adjusted all the time, but if you deal with varying road conditions like we do in Cali, you'll appreciate the Illuminas. I have mine set on 2 right now (1 being stiffest, 5 softest and 3 equal the the HPs), when I'm driving through the city or somewhere smooth, 2 handles the turns superbly, when I'm driving long distance on a bumpy freeway, 5 makes things a little smoother.

But like babymac said, eibachs and any struts aren't going to give you a smooth ride. They were designed for performance, not comfort. Go with a set of OEM springs and struts for that

As far as handling AGX's and Illuminas will be the same.

Illuminas will be a better ride, that's why he mentioned them.

Well if you didnt like bouncing in the back then Illuminas was probably a good choice right? Since you can adjust them you can monitor your bouncing. I'm hoping to do Illuminas too. Not sure which springs tho because I want a drop but want to cut that bouncing you talk about. Hoping that progress wont bounce too much or bottom me out.

If you don't want bouncing get eibachs. I'm riding them now on gr-2's for now until I get my illuminas and they don't bounce at all nice and tight. Progress rates are softer and the front is lower then the eibachs which will cause bottoming out more.

Yeah but the ride quality on eibachs is not good. I want a nice ride. I dont think it would really bottom out too much. I'm also thinking about agx and progress but I dont know about that combo.

I love the eibach ride quality nice and stiff. I mean if you want a aftermarket suspension you want it to handle well right? For it to handle well its got to be stiff. I just think these people looking for this aftermarket awesome handling and a nice and comfortable ride are not going to find such a thing, you just can't have both things. Especially agx's!

Well yeah I want a nice handle but I want a drop and a not so stiff spring. If I do progress or h&r, I'm still doing a blehmco stage 2 so that will help with handling.
