when i bought my 96 gxe it didnot have a remote for the keyless entry, my horns and cruise control werent working either.. So i told my buddy to check whats wrong with it and he found out that theres a anti theft device installed on it and all the wirings had been tempered with.. then he showed me a switch with a wire( not connected to the switch) which is supposed to turn it on and off..i bought a remote from ebay and got it programmed (thanks to the How-Tos) but still my panic button doesnt work... so my question is if i hook that wire to that switch and turn it on to see if my horns and cruise is working, is something going to go bad? he told me to take it to the dealership and they will fix it but i cant afford that..

 

If your cruise and horns dont work you probably need a clock spring. As for the anti theft setup take some pix so we can see the issue.
