OK, need help with round 1 mods for my '95 SE 5 speed : Suspension system
#1
First of all, the manual tranny fluid has never been replaced, I heard that Nissan says it doesnt need to be replaced ever, but would it help if I threw in some redline synthetic instead?
Next comes the suspension, my front left strut is already pretty much gone so it's something I need to do one way or another, I might as well go aftermarket. I would like to maintain as much road manners as possible, I dont want to sacrafise much if any ride quality for handling. I'm not going to be racing this thing either, I'd just like to be able to cut corners with some of the other higher end sports sedans out there. What does a max pull stock on the skidpad? I have never read but from the feel of it, mine seems like around .81-.83 G's or so? I'd like to up that to ove .9 if possible, but keep the ride quality near stock. Is that possible? What should I get if so and what are we talking price wise. I know I need the strut tower braces, front and rear... are those hard to install? What about springs/struts/etc...
Please forgive me for being ignorant, this is my second day of owning a maxima and I am eager to get modding but I have a lot to learn

I doubt that you will be able to pull .9g with anything close to a stock ride.
Handling improvements are directly related to price; the more you spend, the more you get.
1. Lower profile, stiffer sidewall, stickier tires on larger rims - $1200
2. Lower the car's center of gravity with coilovers or sport springs and high performance struts - $400 to $1000
3. Addco Rear sway bar (best bang for the buck) - $150
4. Front strut tower brace (2nd best bang for the buck) - $40
5. Rear strut tower brace - Everyone says don't bother.
6. Energy Suspension urethane bushings for the front sway bar - $15
If you want to keep the stock ride height and comfort, do 1, 3, 4, and 6.
If you can give up the ride height but still want the ride comfort, H&R springs are pretty close to stock ride while dropping the car 1.5". You will get better handling, but a firmer ride with Eibach springs.
