Hello everyone I'm new here. and I need some help whith this problem in my 95 Maxima GLE. for like the last two months I've been having a problem with my Bose cd player.
the sound is great but once in a while the sound goes only to the right side in the front and in the rear. if I take the cd out the sound becames normal for the cassette and radio.it seems like something is loose, but I can't pin it down. so I thought you guys can help me out with this

you said the prob yourself

BOSE!!!! just kidding man ...mine was doing that when i first got my 97...i ended up replacing the headunit and had the installer wire in the bose amps....each speaker has an amp on it so if one goes bad its almost cheaper to replace the whole damn thing! Some people on these boards have some greak hookups and they are all great people so listen learn and buy all you can for your max! good luck

i agree with Dahnryman, you're better off replacing it. There's a lot of aftermarket units that sound much better. but if you insist on fixing it try these guys http://carstereohelp.com/

I have a bose system and i have a 95 and i havent had any problems, i want to keep the bose because i have heard many other systems that sound good, but most lack the clarity the bose has, but of course an aftermarket head unit would look cooler

I had after market speakers that i just took out and replaced with the bose speakers that came with the car. They sound better with my amp. It sounds like you just need to have the speaker wires checked, maybe a new wireing harnes. I STRONGLY suggest replacing the head unit with an after market one. They look better, you can get an extra storage bin and will make the bose speakers sound better too.

Well i kinda agree with everyone and disagree. Bose system sounds good but u cannot compare it with an aftermarket.. my 97 max.. i replaced the headunit right after i bought my car. Right after i replaced my head unit, after about 1 month i blew my bose amps. now my system has rockford components in the front and rockfords in the back with a 400 Watt rockford 4 channel amp. head unit is clarion... System is clear and loud then any bose system in the world ;-) Dont want bose at all. its better that nissan just deliver the car without a stereo system.. We can take care of that better LOL

I agree with replacing the stock bose amps(they are only about 60 watts anyway) because they were not ment to sound very loud, just very clear. The bose speakers are fine when amplified though, they dont need to be changed out unless you blow them or want to add silk dome tweeters. TRUST ME on this one, I have had aftermarket speakers in my max and took them out because they just didnt sound as good as the bose ones(but I also have 120 watts running each speaker).
