'Few groaning' noises does that mean?

Do you have lights/radio? Is it cranking?

dead starter
dead battery
bad GND points
Bad pos. batt points
# of different fuses
Fusible link
CPS
ECTS

Too vague..need more information

Might very well be a battery on its way out. Possibly a bad GND on the battery terminal.

Check those...

GND = ground... the wire bolted to the body of the car to complete the circuit

It might be the battery as others mentioned. You may just need a battery service or check first. Does it throw any code(s)? It could also be the engine coolant temp sensor (ECTS).

Sounds like the battery. Same thing happened to me. It'll groan a couple of times and then nothing. The lights do turn on but the battery's about to die.
