Those with custom catbacks...uninstall?

By custom catback i mean u took it to the shop and they bent a pipe to fit ur maxima. I want to swap the stock catback with the one i got done on my other maxima. the stock b-pipe connects to the axleback by bolts, the custom one is just one long pipe though, no flanges. there were two peices, however they were welded together. have any of you ever managed to get the catback out somehow, meaning if i unbolt it will it slide out of the rear of the car or do the bends get in the way of the underbody? i hope i dont have to take both the cars to a shop and have them do the dirty work...

well, yeh, i wanna swap from the cats back. keep the cats there, just swap the b-pipes and mufflers, its bent to fit under the car so its shape is funny, just wondering if the bends will allow me to somehow pull it out by the muffer and twist it to come out the rear end.

Blast heavy metal and go to work with a hacksaw.

It is already a pain to wiggle the stock-b out from the axle and underbody, unless you can get the car a few feet in the air. Mine was 17-18" off the ground (front and rear) and I still swore once or twice.

You should be able to do it..i got my stock out without much problem at all, with a normal hydraulic jack, i dont think the aftermarket b pipe will be impossible either. Try and find out.
