body guys pls help!
ok, so about a year ago i scraped the side of the car on my school (lol yea, my school.) i was tryin to pull into the garage and there was a big truck in the way so i couldnt swing it in and come straight. anyway, on my rear passanger door i got this dent. a little paint chipped off. got MOST of it out, but im not sure how i could get the rest out cause the metal has some creases in it. would i have to sand it down, bondo, and prime and paint it? what do you think? ill try my best to take pics of it and get em up but with only a camera phone it may be hard to get the detail.
thanks.
and for those of you who are probably gunna ask...i waited a year to fix it cause 1. im a broke college kid who didnt have money to go to a shop. and 2. i didnt know what i was doing back then, so i waited til i could take a bodyshop elective at my school..which turned out to be only painting no body work.
thanks.

ouch ive got one of those from parking at work.. .some ahole doctor scrapped my 96t BBS wheels (taking off the center cap[broke it]) then he/she drove up on the wheel and bent the fender in.. most of it came out but the fender is dented in.. it bothers me everytime i see it.. but no money to fix ... = ( someday im gonna hve the car fully repainted...
sand it down....pund the dent out as much as u can from the inside of the door panel...then us minmal bondo jsut to get an even surface...then prime and paint...people fear body work....the key is to take ur time and be really meticulous...there are difficult parts to it...i mean u dont want to glob bondo on do a kwik sand and paint....thin layers to get tiny imperfections out...dont fill a dent in with it..like i said the door panel off and carefully pound the dent out
1 Use glazing putty made by Evercoat. Not Bondo. Nothing against Bondo for what it's for but glazing putty is much less porous. It sands better too.
2 Fill prime and guide coat.
3 Wet sand all guide coat off
4 Paint. Buff.
Looks like you have Pearl White as I do. Beatiful color but it sucks to repair! It's also expensive. It is a tri-coat paint and can't be blended like other colors as easily. Good luck. Ask if you have any other questions. Paul
