i got the cel for the knock sensor and i reset the comp but the ecl hasnt come back yet...how nessisary is the knock sensor can i wait to get it replaced...do i need to have it replaced at all??? please give me some feedback thanks guys

 

The code will come back..
you should replace your KS... there have been cases where users replace the KS and fuel economy become better and the car feels/runs better...

all in all, just replace it...

search on here. some ppl have Group deals on em' or a link to a cheap 1.
and yeah, better replace it..

 

Like others said replace it. The KS usually goes bad sooner or later after a few years of average driving. But do a resistance check on the KS first. It could be an open circuit on the cable connecting the KS and main wiring harness.
