CEL will not turn off

CEL came on a while ago, said i needed rear O2 sensor. Replaced sensor, reset ECU and light did not go off. Disconected battery and CEL will still not turn off. Does anyone have any suggestions. thank you.

Check the code again. It might be your catalytic convertor.

have you tried clearing the code with some sort of OBD-II device like the consult 2 or etc?

No I think that means either you reinstalled it incorrectly or you just have to have the ECU reset properly. Pulling the battery won't do it. You need to either turn the screw a couple of times or you need to goto autozone and have it reset.
