projector/reflector headlights???

so, I'm cruzin ebay and decided to punch in bmw projector.
I sorta stumble across these.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/BMW-E34-ANGEL-EYE...QQcmdZViewItem
I'm on ebay cause I'm thinking of doing a projector/refactor lens setup in the headlights of the 97 maxima.
What do you think... I know I've got to cut and such, but will they fit?
I'm probably gonna need a shroud too. Is that e34 headlight system wider than that of the nissan?
I definately want to do the dual lense system and I'm not huge on the angel eyes. Should I just get some tl projectors and something else for the high?

I'm workin on one right now, slow going since I have so many other projects as well, but when I get it done, I will surely post pics. its alot of work, they'll fit, but you pretty much have to fabricate a whole new bucket. But hopefully they'll look as good as I think they will when they're done and it'll be all worth it

That would look pretty sweet if you fit those. Seems like a good project, its not even that expensive for what it is.

i concur....get some honda s2000, they are one of the best or even the best projectors out there....extremely wide and far. you can also get the tsx projectors, they are good too. Stay away from those....don't buy anything that's not OEM

Those are complete crap. The reflector isn't even chrome! How is it going to throw light out? I don't care what they say about "black reflective coating" it isn't going to work that well. You also run the risk of all this not fitting (likely).

Just go with OEM equipment as stated above. FYI, TL projectors are bi-xenons...they already have a high beam. If you want a projector/reflector setup go with some nice OEM single-xenon projectors (TSX, S2000, etc.) and buy some of those cheaper reflector units off eBay (ones that are actually chrome and not "black reflective coating").

Umm... TL projectors are bi-xenons--you won't need (nor notice) another bulb/reflector for high beams. S2000 projectors are the best single xenons out there but are expensive as all hell. TSX are also great single xenons but also rather expensive. Do some research and get some real HID projectors. You won't be disappointed.

thanks everyone for the answers. I thought that they might be crap, but on the other hand, from judging the size of e34 headlights, I thought they might just about fit.
I'll have to keep checking for tsx projectors, I guess and then find a reflector of something for the high beams.
But then again, some of those tl are expensive and it might be worth it to only put in one projector....
oh the decisions...

most projectors are a tight fit, easiest to work with are the E46 single beams or the Valeo bi-xenons. Tsx are easy and very nice.

In my experience E46 Bi-xenon require extensive cutting. And TL's (what i'm currently running) require a lot of cutting.

Bmw headlights are bigger than max headlights in most cases. The projectors fit when when they are stripped down to bare, but that angel eye stuff the circumfrence is almost as big as a cd. A 3 inch reflector bowl fits good in the max, anything else bigger won't really.

good to know... thanks for the info. I figure that I'm just gonna end up with a bi-xenon tl or bimmer or benz or something else of high quailty. Thanks for the pointers
