We have two 97 Max's, a GLE with 105k and an SE with 93k. Both auto well maintained.

We hear a slight swish or soft squeak noise from under the front half of the car quite often, such times a right after after the car comes to a stop, also when shifted in reverse and sometimes right before a stop when moving forward.

It is usually something like "squeak-swish", a two-part noise. Both trans operate flawlessly, have recent fluid changes (drain and refill, at 60k and again at 90k). This has been happening maybe 2 years now.

Given the volume it seems like something that might be external on the engine or trans, since we have two that do it, thought I'd ask if others have this noise and what it might be?
