Just got in an accident FTL

luckily its only cosmetic..need a bumper and a hood.....i swear people over 65 need to retake the driving test. a 72 year old woman in a BRAND NEW 2006 camery was driving with no headlights on made a left and cut the corner hard without slowing and BAM ! so basically this is just a reminder...you can be the best frekin driver in the world and still get in an accident...its always the ones you never expect.

My grandpa got in a reck in a brand new 2007 camry about a week ago. It wasnt his fault really, the guy on a honda motorcycle was going to fast around the turn, behind trees, and he couldnt be seen. It was the riders fault and the citys fault for not cutting backt he bushes.

Glad youre not hurt, hope you get it worked out!

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here but women are just bad drivers over-all, I don't care what statistics say. 95% of the close-calls I have had involve a woman who is driving w/o any idea of what they are doing. Especially when they are looking for an address and talking on their cell at the same time...idiot drivers.

In my 1st post I was assuming that you were collecting insurance money, in which case the 70 year old gets to pimp your ride.

I'd like to expand on this a bit if i may. It's always a woman in a big A$$ Expedition or similar vehicle that's TOO BIG, talking on their cell phone. I've also had a few close calls with women in their big SUV's....they automatically think since they have a bigger vehicle than you, they own the road. It seems like nobody drives cars anymore....All i see on the road is Vans, SUV's, and trucks. People then continue to bicker about gas prices when they go out and buy the biggest thing they can find.

Anyway, on the subject of the unfortunate man who got hit by someone who shouldn't have been on the road--Sorry to hear about it..it'll work out. I vote for CF!! What was the old lady's reaction to the whole situation??

This women bashing is not accurate.

I am 32 and have NEVER been at fault in any of my 5 fender benders! That's right, ALL OF THEM WERE MEN!!!

Two times rear ended while I was stopped at a light, once I was at a stop sign!
I had an 11 y/o boy ride his bike out in front of my minivan!

I have had 18 vehicles, I have never curbed a rim or hit anything! I drive 23,000 miles on my max a year.

I am also a Big Rig driver.

Your generalizations are off base and not well founded. I'd like to see you back these with facts!

Regarding SUV'S and women in them, I COMPLETELY agree with you. When some of my girlfriends get in them, it becomes easy to be oblivious to the world around them. Most of my girlfriends that drive those are really small gals.

Please do not bash women, we aren't the more expensive gender to insure! We aren't the ones before judges during our teen years! We don't have to wait until 25y/o for our premiums to drop!

I'm glad you are ok. I think that after 65y/o both genders should be tested annually!
