Hey frank, wanted to say thanks also, your site helped me to tackle rebuilding my vlsd awhile back, since then I have rebuilt two other trannsmissions, and I'm currently doing my 4th as we speak. I figured since I not only saved, but also made close to a grand so far that it was only fair I paypal you a donation to keep the site going, then I realized I only had $1.75 in my paypal account, I sent it anyways and plan on sending you much more shortly.

Don't feel bad, ive got 196k with no real problems... ****... knock on wood!! I just have hard 2nd gear shifting which can be reduced if you drive it right. One of these days ill be swapping it out... hopefully not or a while though. If I need to ill take out from a junkyard for acouple hundred and cross my fingers that it works well.

Take it to a tranny shop and have them open it up for a quick inspection. That shouldn't cost you much at all.

...and then make damn sure they seal it back up properly and torque everything back to spec.

Seals are for clean freaks and torque wrenches are for nerds.
