95-96 exhaust on a 99?
I see all kinds of exhausts for 95-96's, but not for the 97-99's. Is it because of that stupid s-bend connector piece after the cat? Or is it a completely different system?
I believe the 99 (and only the 99) exhaust is the same as the 2000-2001 maximas. As for the 95-96 maximas, the exhaust is cut shorter because the back bumper is different. Also, the o2 sensor is in the cat on 95-96s and in the b-pipe on the 97-98s. That's all I can think of.
^^^please dont post incorrect info. They are not the same because of atleast 2 reasons.
1. o2 sensor location
2. length
I used a 97-99 cat on my 95, i just had to have a bung welded for the o2 sensor. I had some length issues when installing the cat. It pushed the rest of the system back a couple inches. It had to be adjusted to 'work' at the shop.
