How often do you break brand new axels? on your 4th gen

Ok well i just did a dek and 5 speed swap on my 95. Well was about to get my first race off (AT the track Of course) . I have a idel problem due to dek swap and can only hold it steady at 3700 rpms due to it ideling so high! I have a spec stage 3 clutch and only a budget y pipe for mods. Well a little tune too. I have brand new axels witch I bought from Napa with less than 50 miles on them. So I went to burn my tires off slightly Street tires (nitto neo Gens) Well I went to lauch at about 3800 rpms and it hook but some as i let out on the clutch well it broke! I have such low power im really surprized it broke. I ran over 340lb of torque through my 3rd gen axels and never had a problem. Do you think I got a bad axels heres the pic.

lol thats ridiculous, i bet it was a bad axle before napa rebuilt it. Ive never broken an axle and I have more mods then you, but less then a lot of other people, (I/Y/E/VLSD). Back when i first started to drive by myself(give me a break i was 16), burnouts was the best thing next to sliced bread, so the car went through quite a few 4000rpm clutch drops and so on. Never broken an axle, but I've blown a tranny due to the differential carrier bearing.

Maybe if you were supercharged/turboed with all the bolt ons..etc.. and slicks and you were doing a 6000RPM clutch drop. i could see you blowing axles there.

Get that exchanged, they have warranties on those, right? If they're the remanufactured ones, they should...

No way those should break from a Ypipe
