Rear suspension on GXE

alright I got a couple of questions and some general wonderings for you guys. I have a '96 GXE 5-speed with no mods(except 2003 350Z rims/tires). I noticed when I first got the car about 2 months ago that my rear suspension was very soft, and when going over speed bumps it takes the rear a while longer to settle than the front. I know I have the low-end model but I didn't think the suspension should be quite that bad. My guess is it has never been changed, but I was just wondering if this is normal or if its possible I may need to replace it. And if so, I want to upgrade but don't need a drop in height or an overly-stiff suspension, so what do u guys recommend? I was thinking KYB G2 but I've never had any experience with them so I'm not sure how good they are.

Also, does the 4th gen have an audible reminder when you leave your headlights on? My car dings when I leave the keys in the ignition with the door open, but if I leave the headlights on and open the door nothing happens. I've forgotten to turn my lights off twice and had to be jumped one time. I don't see a specific fuse in the fuse box for the chime but maybe one of the other fuses deals with that too.

Thanks in advance for your input.

KYB GR2's will give you a very firm ride.
Tokico Blues will give you back that new car like ride and handling.
The chime should work when you leave your lights on after turning the car off.

any idea if it would be a fuse? just find it weird that it chimes with the keys in the ignition but not for the lights. thanks for the tip, the tokico's sound like what I want, I don't want the ride to be extremely firm. I'll check 'em out.

So I got those Tokico Illumninas and Tien H-tech springs, helped my handling so much. Also replaced my gauge cluster with one from an SE and got the headlight chime now. Hoorah!

Curious as to how you like the ride?

Yeah I decided I needed a little bit of a drop, nothing dramatic. Ride is very nice, still some body roll but I'm sure a fstb and rear sway-bar will take care of most of that. Only problem I'm having now is my car bottoms out EVERYWHERE, but then again the streets of San Marcos are horrible. But even on the highway sometimes I hit a bump and it feels as if the whole bottom of the car is slamming the pavement.

FYI: I have the front set on 3(middle of the road-ish) and the rear set on 5 (stiffest setting)
