Is 100 bucks fair?

Is 100 bucks shipped for a used 2000 maxima fuel rail with injectors a good deal?

+1 agreed... I paid a bit more for some 300zx injectors, but you get the point. price a single new injector Nissan injector for a DE-K... after you get over your sticker shock, buy this guy's fuel rail... if it's still around and he's a good seller...

imho there is no benefit unless the increase in fuel delivery capacity that results from putting in a fuel rail with larger injectors is accompanied by an increase in the amount of air delivered to the engine. There IS an increase in the amount of air delivered by the improved de-k intake manifold....

Yeah I'm thinking I am not going to use the dek injectors. I'll just use the 4th gen.'s

Brief corollary to what I said earlier.. that increase in air delivery isn't a huge one (like the one you'd get if your car was forced induction).

It's a fair deal but you're paying extra money for that stuff. It's cheaper to use the 4th gen stuff. No benefits from using all the 5th gen stuff really unless you're using V-AFC II or JWT or something to manipulate all that stuff.

Thats why i decided not to. I also scrapped the bipipe and just want this 00vi done. I don't think there is enough hp(maybe 3) in a b-pipe to justify 200+ when for about 400-500 give or take I can have a 00vi which with my ecu could give me 15 or more hp especially if ts tells me they can re flash my ecu, which they tell me they might because i don't have the higher rev-limiter YET!

Hey are you doing the install yourself or will you have some-1 else do it.

If you are doing the install can I watch or help, I want to see how it's done and maybe pickup some tips.

I am kicking around the idea of doing this mod in the future myself

I'm not sure about the TS ecu. I havnt heard too much about it. I dont know if it will give much extra gain to the 00vi. B pipe is worth it since the extra air from the 00vi will need to go out....but yeah I think using the 5th rails and all is too much extra work.

The ecu is a BIG improvment over the stock one i had. Bigger then the y-pipe.

Yeah but I'm not sure how it works with the 00vi. I've never heard anyone using that kind with the 00vi swap.

It does the same thing as the jwt. Advanced fuel curves, advance timing for 91 octane, etc.... It will definitely help ALOT with the 00vi. I just hope they can reprogram it for the higher rev limit.

Still havnt heard anything about anyone using that kind of ECU. I'm just telling you. I've read a lot about them, and V-AFC II or JWT are the recomended. I'm sure it will work fine tho.

I was also thinking about using the vafcII along with the ecu. This way i won't have to use a rpm switch right?

No the V-AFC II will take care of the rpm switch plus reulating things. It's a waste of your money really. If you have an upgraded ECU you wont need the V-AFC II as well.

I'm just using the MSD then buying the V-AFC II later when I find a good price.

Well right now I've come to this conclusion: 00uim,4th gen lim,4th gen fuel rail and injectors, 4th gen throttlebody, msd switch, 00egr guide tube,4th gen rear valve cover, and some 00 rear bank ignition coils. What did I forget???

oh and adapter plates for the iacv and throttle body.

Thats the basic setup. You'll just need a lot of little stuff.
