tinted maximas
tinted maximas
Im looking at getting my car tinted soon. But i don't know how dark i want. its between 35% or 20% black. If anyone has got that on there cars i'd lov eot see it to get a visual of what it would be like on a maxima. Or anything or types of amounts of tint is fine too lol

Well this all depends on the int of your car. For instance I usually go with 20% but on my max I have tan leather, and 20 really looks like 50%. So I did 5% in the back ( no limit on back tints) and did the 20% in the front. No probs because in the day time the front look a bit lighter, but at night its as dark as they get. So imo get whatever % u want, but consider the reflection of your int if it's a light color, otherwise go with 20% all around.
You should also consider how ricey your car looks. Maximum legal tint in CA is 75% fronts, no limit in the rear, I think. My car looks pretty normal and I have 25% front, 15% rear, never been pulled over. Friends with riced cars and lighter tint than mine do get pulled over though.

A tint that is rated at 50% allows 50% of the light to pass through its surface into the car's cabin, while a tint rated at 5% only allows 5% of the light to shine through into the cabin. So, if the limit in MN is 50%, you're stuck with only getting a 50% tint. Unless you don't care and want to get the illegal ratings of 35%, 20% etc.....
Also, be aware that some cars come stock with a little tint in their windows. This could be a tint covering that is applied to the windows, or more likely, built into the glass itself (higher end cars def have this). So, if you put a 50% tint on a car that comes stock with say, a 75% tint (I'm just saying, not quite sure about stock numbers), you've just made your car illegal by pushing the tint shade darker and thus more restrictive than 50%. Yeah, the cops may not get you because they can't visually detect such a slight change, but you will get caught when you eventually have the car inspected. They use a light meter and if the reading shows more than the state allows, you have to take that tint off. Unless the inspector is cool or you know him/her. Just a heads up. I had to go through this and would hate for some guys to have to go through this crap as well.
